“Baby!” Instantly Charlie stopped what he was doing and ran to his mate. Lifting her in his arms, he checked her for any serious injury. “Are you ok?” 

“A little banged up but no worse for the wear,” she replied, pulling herself to her feet. 

“Let’s get back out there then.” Taking her by the hand, the couple rejoined the fight.

Luther stood pacing in front of the window in his office, gazing out over his territory and reflecting on his recent meeting with Caleb and Charlie Savage. They had come to an accordance. Gideon would fight beside the Savage and Greymane packs if it came to that. He just hoped that day wouldn’t come. It was one thing taking on the hunters by themselves. But lately, he’d been hearing rumors of them conspiring with witches. Add that to this alleged weapon that would be the decimation of all wolf-kind left him none too keen with the aspect of war.

And that thought bothered him, too. Usually the first to jump into a fray, fearing the future of his pack was a new concept and it weighed on him. “It’s quite rude to leave our guests waiting,” Giselle’s voice interrupted Luther’s contemplation and he turned to face her, his eyes skimming up her body as she stood in the doorway smiling back at him with her ruby red lips. “They are all dying to get a piece of you.”

James had left a message on Finn’s voicemail letting him know he’d come across a lead and would get back to him the next morning. But morning came and went and still there had been no word from James. “Try callin’ ‘em if ye that worried.”

Grabbing his phone, Finn tried just that but kept getting his voicemail. “Seriously, how much longer does he expect us to wait for with our thumbs up our asses?”

Ulrick waited outside the studio for the black car to arrive. The photographer was getting anxious and Night shift was already twenty minutes late. Glancing at his watch again, he sighed as he retrieved his phone, preparing to send another urgent text to his lead singer when the sound of tires crunching over gravel pulled his eyes up. “Finally!” he said as Connor and Eli hopped out of the front seats of the vehicle.

Eli grabbed the backdoor and Kaya popped out with Dominick wrapped in her arms. Connor took Kaeleigh from her car seat and followed Caleb who carried Joseph. “You try wrangling three very active, hungry, crying babies into clothes and car seats and see how quickly you make appointments,” Kaya said before leaning over to greet her manager with a peck on the cheek.

Ulrick took the opportunity to steal one from the child in her arms and cooed at the eldest of the triplets. “You’re right, I’m sorry. I was just beginning to think you were blowing this off.”

I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. “Chandria!” Vaughn awakened with a start, his heart was pounding furiously in his chest and his breathing was ragged. Looking around the room, he gained a sense of where he was before pulling his legs to the side of the bed. Slowly, he felt his heart return to a normal pace as he took in deep breaths to steady himself.

Chandria hadn’t been able to do that before. He wondered briefly what it could mean; were her powers growing? Was she getting weaker? And if so, would he be able to call upon her magics as he needed in order to find her? Dammit! Why hadn’t she given him a location or anything to go on? Lexi was proving more powerful than he could have hoped but, with Kaya’s help he would be able to get the last ingredient he’d need: her blood. It would be useful when the time came.

“Which one of you did it?” he asked, shaking the cloth at each pup.

Hiding a smile she turned her attention to the three cubs as they each growled and barked at their redheaded uncle. “You didn’t eat Unky Connor’s shirt, did you? No, not my babies. You’re all good pups, aren’t you?” With the question, Joseph gave Kaya’s cheek a feverish lap while Dominick and Kaeleigh scurried towards Connor.

Updates Soon!

Hello, Dear readers,

Just wanted to drop a quick note to say I have been back and working on new episodes for After Midnight. So far, I have 6 written and working on another 4. Two of them are prepped and ready to be posted but I'm hoping to complete the last 4 and get shots for all 10 so I can post a few weeks of uninterrupted chapters.

On top of this story, I've also completed chapters for Cold Blooded as well as two new stories: The Chameleon and The Fallen. The first will be a completely finished story (five seasons written and ready for posting) while the latter will only have the first season completed (more of a test really that got me back into writing).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting back into the work and as always thank you for everything. Your support is appreciated!
