Rafe calls and Kaya's compelled to see him and realizes Roman is still in the dark about what's happened. She goes to see him and is accosted by Dexter of Gideon.

Kaya watched Rafe from the open panel in her father’s office as he sauntered towards the back porch. She could sense his anxiety and it wrenched at her gut. Lobo was going on with Raeford on the phone about the treaty and how they should have never lost touch and she was doing her best to ignore the unease she felt about abandoning everyone and everything. Kaya pulled up from her seat and started for the office door. “One moment Rae, Ky, don’t go too far, I’m calling a pack meeting in a little bit to announce to the others what’s happening.” She nodded and he returned to his conversation with Raeford, turning his back to her as she exited his office.

Episode 24: Dog Days

Kaya checked herself one last time in the mirror. She was wearing her mother’s favorite hostess dress for tonight’s festivities. As Beta she’d take the place of the pack Luna’s position and greet their pack members and guests as they came out to celebrate and welcome Rafe into the fold. She was excited he’d agreed to it and hoped to prove her father wrong about wild wolves and their inability to remain sociable.

Though she was happy to be able to welcome Rafe into Greymane, there were other reasons to be concerned. Not just because they were still unsure of his history and where he came from but if there are reasons these kinds of wolves remained rogue, she was hoping she wasn’t inviting danger into her home. With affiliation comes power, though no where as equal as that attained from mating but enough to enhance one’s lycan abilities. Would a wild wolf be tempted? Lobo felt certain that with any degree of power wild wolves would become uncontrollable.

Episode 22: The Wilderness Pack

The rain cloud popped up over the ridge out of nowhere, a dark cloud that suddenly appeared above the treetops blocking out the sun. They didn't even have time to scout a good area to drop the stakes for their tents before it broke loose and drenched them both to the bone.

“Well I guess we’re setting up camp here,” Kaya smiled and raised her head to the sky taking in the abrupt shower allowing it to bombard her face and hair freely. Rafe smiled watching her and strolled over casually. Lifting her at her waist he spun her in the downpour and she laughed. “Hey! You’re gonna get us dizzy!”
