Vaughn, I need you. It’s time. You must come now. I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. “Chandria!” Vaughn awakened with a start, his heart was pounding furiously in his chest and his breathing was ragged. Looking around the room, he gained a sense of where he was before pulling his legs to the side of the bed. Slowly, he felt his heart return to a normal pace as he took in deep breaths to steady himself.

Chandria hadn’t been able to do that before. He wondered briefly what it could mean; were her powers growing? Was she getting weaker? And if so, would he be able to call upon her magics as he needed in order to find her? Dammit! Why hadn’t she given him a location or anything to go on? Lexi was proving more powerful than he could have hoped but, with Kaya’s help he would be able to get the last ingredient he’d need: her blood. It would be useful when the time came.

His mouth brushed Lucy’s, so light she almost thought she’d imagined it. She gasped, arching her back and bringing their bodies closer together. The contact made him gasp too and their mouths touched once more. This time, Byron’s tongue darted out to trace along her bottom lip. Her arms tightened around him as he pressed the top half of his body against hers. Reality intruded, and Lucy briefly wondered if she should be doing this. The feel of this man…this wolf, touching her so intimately was sinful enough but, the idea she was betraying her family, her brothers…was this what she wanted?

“Ok!” Connor shouted, storming into the babies’ room. Kaya sat on the floor with her lively litter of pups as they clambered and hopped around her lap, tumbling over their paws. “Someone owes me a new Misfits t-shirt.”

“What?” she asked, looking up at the tattered remains of his favorite tee.

“Which one of you did it?” he asked, shaking the cloth at each pup.

Hiding a smile she turned her attention to the three cubs as they each growled and barked at their redheaded uncle. “You didn’t eat Unky Connor’s shirt, did you? No, not my babies. You’re all good pups, aren’t you?” With the question, Joseph gave Kaya’s cheek a feverish lap while Dominick and Kaeleigh scurried towards Connor.

Updates Soon!

Hello, Dear readers,

Just wanted to drop a quick note to say I have been back and working on new episodes for After Midnight. So far, I have 6 written and working on another 4. Two of them are prepped and ready to be posted but I'm hoping to complete the last 4 and get shots for all 10 so I can post a few weeks of uninterrupted chapters.

On top of this story, I've also completed chapters for Cold Blooded as well as two new stories: The Chameleon and The Fallen. The first will be a completely finished story (five seasons written and ready for posting) while the latter will only have the first season completed (more of a test really that got me back into writing).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting back into the work and as always thank you for everything. Your support is appreciated!
