“Hey, are you ok?” Caleb asked as he and Kaya returned to
the manor. The body of the councilman had been disposed of over the cliff and
washed away by the rapids. Kendrick, Braedan, Trinity and Rayne had been sent
to clean up any and all evidence of his presence in the Shadow lands while
Joey, David and Rand handled scouting.
“Yeah, I’m fine, just tired,” she sighed and stepped into
the house ahead of him. It had taken the rest of the night to clear the scene
and by the time they made it back, it was already early afternoon. “I’m a
little worried though. That was a Wolf Council member, dead on our land! Do you
have any idea what this means?”
