NO BAN ON BLOGGER!

VICTORY IS OURS!!!

As many of you were aware, Google had plans to implement a ban on sexually explicit/adult content blogs. Well I am pleased to announce: GOOGLE HAS BACKED DOWN!

Their offices, emails and phones were CLOGGED with bloggers who have had accounts with them for years discussing their displeasure about the change. And as such, 4 days after they announced they were closing down R-rated blogs, they have changed their minds.

If you have the “Adult Content” filter in place on your blogs, they will no longer be set to “private” as per their earlier announcement. They do ask that you keep the warning in place, however. And it appears the only blogs that will be affected by this are ones promoting commercial porn.
Hello everyone,
This week, we announced a change to Blogger’s porn policy. We’ve had a ton of feedback, in particular about the introduction of a retroactive change (some people have had accounts for 10+ years), but also about the negative impact on individuals who post sexually explicit content to express their identities. So rather than implement this change, we’ve decided to step up enforcement around our existing policy prohibiting commercial porn.
Blog owners should continue to mark any blogs containing sexually explicit content as “adult” so that they can be placed behind an “adult content” warning page.
Bloggers whose content is consistent with this and other policies do not need to make any changes to their blogs.
Thank you for your continued feedback.

This is a great day for bloggers alike! Congratulations everyone! :D

I am so happy they reversed their decisions! So many of my blogs would have been gone and it would have just pissed me off! This was the best news...2nd best news I should say. I got an email today saying my computer is on the way! I should have it by Tuesday. So on top of the no ban thing, I can get back to releasing chapters soon too YAY! 2. I let out a cheer the other day when I saw this on my blog feed. I hadn't heard until then, and merely hours before, I was lamenting about how and where I would move.

YAY! That won't be a problem now. :D

    1. Yes! It was the best news! I was contemplating where I would land as far as my blogs were concerned also! Moving alone would have been SUCH a headache so I'm glad this landed on our side!
